Mardin
, a ruined Roman citadel, rebuilt in medieval times, is an important regional trading center on south-east Anatolia. Some buildings in Mardin are enlisted on the “World Heritage List” of UNESCO. The first civilizations in order; Subarians-Hurrians, Babylonians, Hittites, Assyrians, Romans, Byzantines and Ottomans. Located near the traditional boundary of Anatolia and Mesopotamia, Mardin has a diverse population composed of Arab and Assyrian people, Kurdish Muslim Turks forming the majority of the population. You may taste delicious local cuisine which is influinced by different cultures throughout Türkiye’s history.

Day 1
Transfer to airport for flight to Mardin. Meeting at Mardin airport and transfer to hotel and check-in. Visit to Kırklar Church, City Museum, Grand Mosque, Old Post Office, Ethnography Museum, Sıttı Ruadiye Madrasah and the Footsteps of Prophet Mohammad, Kasimiye Medresah, Deyr-ul Zaferan Monastery, Ruins of the Ancient City of Dara, once the most important trade center of Mesopotamia. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Early start after breakfast and drive to Midyat, the regional center of commerce for the district and is known for its Syriac silver handcrafted filigreed ornaments. Midyat Guest House, Gelişke Inn, Silver Ateliers Bazaar, Mor Abraham Monastery, Dar-ul-Umur Monastery. Lunch and drive to Hasankeyf, an ancient city on the route of Upper Mesopotamia around the banks of Tigris River. Hasankeyf is threatened with disappappearence due to Ilısu Dam construction project which will displace hundreds of species and loose cultural heritage on the highest level of world heritage. Return back to Mardin airport for flight to İstanbul. Meeting at İstanbul and fransfer to hotel.
